The Signature Series showcases the images that best define my work. Each photograph is an attempt to share the emotion of being there. Look for the tension in a stare, the weight of stillness in a landscape, the moment when everything seems to hold its breath. If these images move you, then they've done what I hoped they would.

Signature Series

Vigilant
from $46.95

Two tule elk stand poised on a windswept ridge at Point Reyes National Seashore, their attention fixed beyond the unseen horizon. The lead bull, broad-shouldered and unflinching, holds the light with quiet authority while the second stands just below, echoing his calm. Together they embody the watchfulness and composure that define the wild herds of this coast — a moment of balance between alertness and repose.

Vigilant captures that still tension, the sense of presence within open space. The subdued tones of tawny fur and muted sky draw focus to form and texture, revealing the quiet endurance written in each line of muscle and antler.

On lustre paper, the image softens gently, showing subtle gradations within the grasses and coat. On metal, it sharpens to sculptural clarity — light gliding across the contours, lending permanence to their silent watch.

Apparition
from $46.95

Emerging from the fog, a black-tailed buck stands suspended between presence and absence — solid yet spectral in the drifting mist. Apparition captures the fleeting balance of strength and stillness that defines Point Reyes National Seashore on a winter morning. The soft diffusion of light erases all distance, leaving only form, breath, and the quiet persistence of life within the haze.

On lustre paper, the subdued palette gains a gentle warmth, accentuating the dewdrops along the grass and the quiet texture of the animal’s coat. On metal, the tones deepen and the mist takes on an ethereal glow, giving the scene a striking, otherworldly clarity.

Epitaph
from $46.95

Stripped of color and reduced to shadow and shape, Epitaph transforms the familiar wreck of the Point Reyes boat into a study of form and finality. What was once narrative becomes symbol — the decay of wood and iron rendered timeless in monochrome. Here, the sea and sky withdraw, leaving only silence and the faint echo of what endured.

In dialogue with Forsaken, this image serves as the closing refrain — where Forsaken holds to the physical world, Epitaph releases it. One recalls the texture of time; the other, its passing. Together they speak to beauty found not in preservation, but in acceptance.

On lustre paper, the grays settle with quiet subtlety, evoking the softness of memory. On metal, the deep blacks anchor the composition, lending gravity to the ship’s skeletal form — an homage both to loss and to what remains.

Aurora
from $46.95

Morning gathers in silence as light drifts across the still water, touching the reeds and trees with the first breath of warmth. In Aurora, the world feels newly formed — calm, unspoiled, and suspended between darkness and day. The mirrored surface carries a fragile symmetry, holding both earth and sky in a single, tranquil reflection. Every tone is subdued, each contour softened by mist, capturing the serenity that lingers before movement begins.

On lustre paper, the gentle gradations of dawn unfold with quiet subtlety, the warmth of the horizon emerging in delicate balance. On metal, the image gains quiet brilliance — light deepens in the water’s reflection, and the first gold of morning glows with measured intensity, preserving the calm radiance of a world at rest.
